Default Lowering 87 Corvette

I'm thinking about ordering the lowering kit from MAD, and having it put on. I've been meaning to get an alignment, so I think this would give me a good reason to. :D Does anyone have any BAD results with lowering? I'm going going to pull my brake calipers off, paint them, and put a line lock on, so I'm gonna need my brakes bled too. :D

Wassup Tim. Once u lower it you'll never want to ride at factory height ever again ;) Are u doing the front and back or just the back?

Does the MAD kit come with the 88-96 front spring brackets? Or just the pads.

Because without them you put different stresses on the spring from a different angle than it was meant to take. The brackets bolt right up.

lowering a vette has always seemed pretty pointless unless its a show car.

shocks, swaybars, sticky tires, skid pad close or over a G. who needs more? heh

I won't own a C4 that isn't lowered... it's one of the best mod's I've done to a car. Handles better, rides better and looks WAY better IMO.

None of that 3 inch gap anymore between the tire and the body!

there isnt enough suspension travel as it is. And with the vette brakes and products kit, it handles way better than just lowering it. Solid sways help.

what gap?

That 3 inch gap you have in the wheel well... looks like a 4X4 :D I had that on mine and didn't like the look of it at all. My front end sat higher then yours thou by the looks of the your picture. I took the rear down 2 inchs and the front down 1.5

And my ride quailty improved after lowing it... so much as even my girlfriend noticed it.

c4 and ride quality dont go in the same sentance, though the late models are HELLA better than the mid late 80s c4s

had an 84 z51 with the 4+3, and no options. that thing handles SWEET.
My 96 i can drive everyday and not hurt my back, but i want to swap in late 80's sport seats. The 96 also had a bit of wheel hope before i put the kit on (it originally had base suspension with worn shocks)
I am a fan of soft springs, stiff shocks and bars on a street car. Also, the added hieght helps when you hit a bump in the twisties.

C-4 vetts that arent lowered look like off road vehicles. Coast Corvette in Anaheim lowered mine and i would'nt have it any other way. it handles soooooo much better
