How do you delete the A.I.R or the vacuum lines and canister thingy by the front bumper?.... My car is a 84 and was in a wreck back in January.. The actual canister is gone and now there are two hoses that are just sucking air. I can defiantley tell a major loss in power.. Any advice would be much obliged...
Either connect the two vacuum lines together using a vacuum adapter, or go to the source of both vacuum lines, and eliminate one line, and connect the remaining line to the other spot. I know, I probably lost you there. Maybe someone will chime in to clear it up for you.
Lol... Pretty funny but no I have all the parts and am trying to decide what I am going to do as far as the smog system... I've been procrastinating... Need advice asap
Only plug the one from the motor/tbr (or at the point on the motor itself). The one from the tank will need become the vent (unplugged)since it will no longer be purging/venting the tank through the canister.
if its like my 82 crossfire which it probably is theres a vacumn port behind the drivers side injector and also one that feed off the front of the intake for the PCV valve. this line has a "T" I believe that feeds the charcoal canister. just trace the vacumn lines anything that doesnt have to do with the cruise control or HVAC just buy those rubber vacumn caps and plug off the ports not needed. Shouldn't be that hard.

I replaced my cannister(s) via salvage. It only cost about $50 IIRC. (globe + coffee can)
I wasn't sure I wanted (or should) let gas fumes float around the engine compartment. Mick's suggestion is the one I'd follow if you decide not to replace. Place the one from the gas tank near a good venting location too (IMO).
