According to several manuals you are support to disconnect the EST connector to check/adjust the timing. When I do so the engine will not start or it will die when disconnected. I am fairly sure I have the correct wire from pictures in the manuals.
When I look at the timing mark with the engine running, it is about 1/4" above the top of the timing gauge. The engine seems to run fine, maybe a little hard to start when cold, but pops right off when hot.
Does anyone have experience with a timing light and an '84?
Thanks,
Don
