Valve Cover question
I've been toying around with the idea of putting some of the older M/T aluminim valve covers on my 85 and was wondering if it would be feasable. I really like the looks of them but if they're too impractical I'll probably just clean up my old ones. Also, for you that have done this, what do you have to do to take the valve covers off? I heard you can't just unbolt and lift them off like a 57 Chevy.

It seems some people have to do more then others some need to loosen the A/C compressor to get clearance most have to loosen the bottom bolt on the air pump some have issues with the wiper motor. When I change mine I removed all the plug wires made sure nothing was in the way of the covers in regards to the rear looms ad lifted them off. Takes some time but a easy project.
