89 Corvette Coupe

Is it necessary to run the engine when bleeding brakes using either the power or vacuum system.

Get a mighty vac (pretty cheap) and start at the farest point and draw fresh fluid thru until clear. Might consider the synthetic brake fluid, it stands up to heat better.
