CAGS?
Certainly Aggivating Gear Selection which ever you prefer.
It was on offering to the EPA gods for favorable economy ratings.
At certain RPM and partial throttle combination, a solenoid is actuated to prevent you from shifting into second or third and going straight into fourth.
Many people don't like it. Simple matter to disconnect the solenoid on the side of the transmission. A blank "plug" is available from MA etc. to protect the connectors. You will still get the light, but your now in control of your car.
Have fun shifting that ZF-6.
