Ok so heres what i decided.

Found a good exhaust system i like long tubes, free flowing duel exhaust (no Cats) with a central resonator. Pretty much what was on the car just with headers and no cats. So im going to try that.

Im going to just keep my distributor and freshen it up, plugs, wires, cap and rotar. No MSD for now.

Now i just gotta find a cam and rocker set, i want to use my stock valve covers so how can i tell if the rockers will fit under them, just measure my old ones and make sure the body size is the same? Suggestions on kits/or sets, Brands?

You do need to remove the radiator to do the cam. The AC condensor will wiggle out of the way. If you have a lot of miles, A Cloyes timing set is a good investment. While you are there its a good time for a new water pump.

Ok so you guys definatly talked me into investing in a Cam. As im confident in my ability to do the work but i'm alittle unsure on what size to pick. The only engines iv rebuilt i just put the stock cam back in.

So ok pretty much i'v decided on going with Comp Cams and getting a full kit so i can get new springs and seals and correct push rods. so heres the two kits i was looking at. Sugestions, Experiences, Opinions, Tips?

http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=120&sb=2

Im leaning towards the K12-365-4 kit but if it can handle the k12-366-4
without being to extreme (ruff idling and stuff) i'll go with that
im also thinking of getting 1.6 rollers so i need to consider that too

Good choices,i think 12366 is more radical, and you will need a tune
but it will be more fun to drive !

I'd also go with the 268XFI, it will have a slight chop to it though.

So the 268XFI would not have too much lift for my stock heads? Would there be a large difference between the 2? i would rather be safe than Sorry, but i am lookin for bang for the buck and both kits are the same price.

Yes it may be much lift for those heads / springs, you can always swap springs...which is a must ! but im not sure if you are planning to take them off.
Thats what happened to me ..
i ended up getting cam, intake, heads and lots of other stuff....
This never ends ..and never is enough !
Because the possibilities are endless and you can build power easily
but sadly it takes lots of money, or ...time to save that money.-

Waiting on parts for the rearend or I would be in the garage.

Hey, both of those cam grinds are hydraulic flat tappet. I would stick with a roller. No worries about start up, break-in and what oil has zinc in it. You can also reuse the lifters.

Use the technology that GM has created!

Well sorry for the long pause and no updates, iv been pretty busy.

But the good news is I am Mostly done and the car is running i have had it out a few times already this week. The build went ok, not too many problems. worst one was that the first injectors i bought didnt want to seat in rail and leaked so i changed to a different style injector.

I just have a little more tuning to do it, the idle seems low or its just real choppy, but while driving its great and its deffinately Faster.

Heres a pic of my finished Engine Bay. Check my album for more if ya want.
