What is the fuel psi set at on a stock LT-4? If I purchase an adjustable regulator is more psi recomended, and what should it be for more HP?My car is stock except for a 160 stat and a K&N filter .
suppose you were to put an AFPR on and crank up the pressure on a stock engine with stock computer.
When you start such an engine it will run rich because the comp will be using the default injector pulse. When the car goes into closed loop it will see the rich condition and shorten the injector pulse. Now you will be getting the same fuel over time as before but who knows if you're getting the best spray pattern with the higher FP and shorter pulse width?
You could remove the O2 sensors and replace them with emulators so that the comp thinks you're not running rich when you are. Ok... what good does running rich do?
Performance gains are out there but one change gains are rare. It's like yarns of a sweater.
My 2¢ Set a specific goal like an ET in the 1/4 mile or BHP or set a budget like $5,000 and then make a comprehensive plan for performance.
