Default 1990-c-4 conv
I have a clicking noise near the rear of my transmission--automatic
I hear it at low speeds -thought it was coming from one of the back wheels but it wasn't.
after putting it up on a lift and turning the rear wheels, sound is coming from the rear of trans--it is a clicking noise
Any ideas what it could be?

Possibly a dry u-joint?

Not on the original ones.You may have to unbolt it from the rear axle and then wiggle it around to feel if its dry or not.Just twisting it on the car may not show anything.
