I looked at both systems on their web pages and both systems look much better than the DFI from ACCEL. I don't want to run the ACCEL anyways. My questions being: Can I fit the Motec or Haltech systems on my '93 Vette LT1? Where can I find a place that sells these systems. Which system from either company, Haltech-E6A,E6gm, etc., Motec-M48,m800,etc.

Re: Haltech vs. Motec (kman0066)
The Haltech is a direct plug-in for our cars.
Pretty powerful setup, though you'll lose features like MPG and the knock sensor. ( the one I'm more worried about )
The Motec units are found professional racecars, CART, IRL even Formula One.
As you can imagine they are quite a it more $$$
Also they're a "U-do-it" setup, no even a startet kit. www.motech.com
Yeah, I saw the prices of the Motec units today, so I'll be going with the Haltech E6GM. Force-EFI sells them for $695, so it sounds like a deal to me. As for MPG(Miles per gallon???), what does that stand for, and I think I can set up a meter to run a light-display knock sensor, and then tune accordingly if any problems ever occur. Plus I have a Crane igniton to retard timing by turning ***** if needed for a quick fix.
I have a Haltech E6k on a 99 Dodge dakota with heads and cam. I have tuned quite a few EFI setups, and currently the haltech is my least favorite of them all.
In an effort to make it "simple" I think they dumb it down to a point where it hurts usability. If I could do it again I would go for the FAST/Speed Pro setup in a heartbeat.
FAST has a provision for knock retard compensation - the haltech E6K i used did not.
We retained the stock dash/guages in the Dakota - but this was because I installed the E6k in a piggyback setup - didn't replace the stock computer but instead spliced into the pertinent connections. With the E6GM there really isn't a good way to do this unless someone makes a harness already.
