Default Another clutch problem??

My car has had many modifications as you see my signature listing them all below. Everything has worked well together other than the clutch. My car has a two piece rear main running the ZF 6 and I have an alum. Fidanza FW which makes noise of course. The orginal clutch set up from Valeo worked well when I first put everything back together, but did not last long at all....then I replaced it with a RAM set up....reverse gear chatter is so bad, the whole car shakes violently when releasing the clutch...no good at all.....NOW after taking the car out this weekend, the clutch pedal goes down to the floor with no resistance, and as soon as you release the clutch, it immediately begins to lunge forward....no slippage at all????? I checked the fluid in the mater cylinder....OK there, but added a little...no help.....this clutch does not have that many miles on it....something is just not right?? Clutch people chime in....shall I call Carolina Clutches based on the information I read here and have them sell me a set up?? at wits end???

Try bleeding the system before you start replacing parts. Sounds like you are not getting release possibly because of air in the system.

Also, have you ever replaced the clutch hydraulics? Master, slave, or connecting hose? If so, one of them could be defective (esp the slave). They've been known to have the plunger installed backwards. Works O.K. for awhile, then pffffflaaaaattttt.

I too had that problem. I had the engine rebuilt to 383, new ram reverse clutch put in and had the clutch go out on 4 different occassions. The shop that installed it replaced with a carolina clutch and have not had a problem since. The shop thinks the throw out bearing was not correct for the lt-4, although there were 4 bearings installed.
