Need help starting car.

HI,

I have a 1984 vette. It runs good the check engine turns on, but the weird problem is that when I let it sit over nite it will not start in the morning.. So what I do is, I disconnect the battery, wait a couple minutes and connect it back and starts normally. WHats wrong? What sensor is keeping my car from turning on. Or is the computer realizing there is a bad sensor or something, thus disables spark??

Sure sounds like a VATS issue, but your '84 doesn't have VATS. Does it possibly have an aftermarket security system that's disableing your starter?

Otherwise I'm clueless.

Define won't start

Won't crank over or won't fire up?
