Default Cigarette Lighter doesn't work.

I tried to use my cigarette lighter, heard a "pop" and it no longer has power. I checked the fuse (ctsy/clk 15 amp) and it is okay. Other things on the circuit (cargo lamps, power antenna, map lights) all work. Is there a fusible link somewhere ? :mad

Since you heard the lighter pop this may not apply, but on my 93 there is a connector in the console glove box that is for the lighter. There is a little opening in the center from that you can access this connector. You may want to check for power there and also verify you have agood connection. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. The 1991 doesn't have access to the wire via the glove box. However, your suggestion gave my the idea to "dig around a bit". I found a secondary fuse box under the passenger's side dash. I replaced the blown fuse and everything works. This is for the Chevy engineer who thought of that :cuss :boxing :cuss
