Default electrical cut out problem

I have a 1987. Today in did not start, wipers, lights, starter all 100% dead. I got it started later and tested the battery – it is good. Once I got it going it would try to cut out every once and a while – it seems to be everything electrical. The altenator should power over a bad battery cable – I don’t think it is that. The check engine light and ABS comes on when this happens. Any idea what would cause this?

I would say a bad cable would be the first place I would start looking.
Obviously a intermittant fault caused by something no staying connected all the time.

Pull the codes. Check for a tight nut on the jump start terminal behind the battery. What is the battery voltage when it attempts to stop. The alternator attempts all the time to maintain 14.7 volts across the battery (engine cold) and this drops to 13.7 volts (engine hot).

I don't have a way to read the codes, but maybe i need to find a show. I will check the bolt (I did not know about it) 13.7-14.7 volts is the correct range in this car, but when it goes dead - It is really dead
