I cut the exhaust valve seats so they no longer had sharp edges sticking out into the chamber, but when I subsequently cut the seats the exh valves sank a little. Funny part is that their cc faces are co-planar with those of the intakes.
I bought some from eBay but they were for regular SBC. Too much play when installed under the stock shim, and they won't fit atop the stock shim. I want to keep the stock shims in there since they appear to function to also stabilize the springs' position. It's no problem to stack, right ?
Hey, send me your email if you want - I penned an article you will probably find of interest, and useful. my email is agent@inventorweb.com

Most of the shims that I've seen sounds like the ones you purchased. I'll send a pic of the three different types I have, all have been used with the stock shims/seats.
Yes you can stack them.
