Default 1991 corvette, need advise

Good day to all. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1991 Corvette with 80,000 miles. I've been a member on this forum for many years and with the great help and support from my fellow members I was able to restore my 1984 Corvette.

I know very little about the 1991 Corvette's and I'm looking for advise as well as pricing. The interior and exterior of the car are in fine condition, rear carpet is a bit faded from sitting, tires new, seals are fine. The car has a rear Greenwood wing.

I did notice from sitting a few of the engine components are pitted, the alternator and plenum to name a few.

The car runs and shifts nicely. I would appreciate any input from my fellow members as well as ball park pricing.
Thank you,
Brimis

91 is the last year for the L98 TPI engine with speed density, no MAF. I like the 91 because it has the smooth rounded bumpers just like the LTx C4.

A stock 91 L98 is not as fast as a stock 92-96 LT1 because of the TPI low rpm wall that will limit your hp. But then again you don’t have to worry about the LT1 OptiSpark ignition which can be a pain. Been there done that.

1984 targa top will not bolt on to the 91.

Has driver side air bag.

IMO, a nicer interior and instrument cluster that 84.

Still OBDI

L98 has a 2.25 Y exhaust vs the LT1 dual 2.75 (I believe this is the right size)

I am sure there's more but I can’t think of now. Sorry I can't help you on price.

I chose the 91 because it had the look of a LT1 and I did not want to mess with OptiSpark. And so what if the TPI is a bit slower than an LT1, who leaves their car stock anyway.

I have a 91 Z07.

It s fun and sharp to drive and it s easy to free up a bit your L98.
Nothing to be shamed of LT1.

I have owned a '85 and a '90, and the '90 is much quieter, has less rattles, just generally a nicer car.
As far as price, some depends on were you live, plus right now is peak season for selling a sports car. I would say between 5k and 6.5k. If it's stick, maybe a little more.

I bought a '91 Convertable last year. Real nice. 70K mikes in teal green (turquoise) Guy wanted 12,000. Got it for 8,600. Great deal on a great car. Of all my cars, vettes included, This was the purchase I was most happy with in 25 years of playing with cars.
