Who else makes the aftermarket 4bbl. style fuel injection systems besides FAST and Edelbrock? I'm thinking of going with that type of system with the single plane style unit instead of my Miniram. I'm sure they make more power and are more tuneable than our stock ECM's and PROM re tunes. Anyone tried this? THANKS for any info. Pipe
Thanks for the reply's. Over on third gen they have loads of systems listed. Thanks rodj. I think the single plane will make more power than the Mini Ram. Pipe
I just got rid of my MR and am trying an Accel 1350 CFM low profile 4bbl style TB on a ported Victor "E" manifold. This is on my 434. Hopefully I'll have it on the chassis dyno in a few weeks. Engine dyno made 570 hp
Those Accel Gen VII kits seem to be a great bargain imo. I think you can even get heavier injectors if you want if I remember the ad correctly. I have a ported Motown converted to EFI with a FAST throttle body and computer, but it cost me way too much. If I could redo things, I would go Accel, upgrade to the 1550 TB and port the intake.
Jerkeyboy cool lookin motor. I wish I would have went bigger with my setup. How did your car run with the Mini Ram? Have any tuning issues? I have the MR and a 58mm TB from AS&M Pipe
I too run a converted single plane with MB. I was forced to go this route, as when you get to very high HP levels, the MRII has issues with the air not wanting to feed all cylinders equally. All is powered by FAST.
I would definitely recommend this route if you plan to exceed 600WHP.

As noted, the MR had distribution problems. From front to back, the plugs were always inconsistant. I had other problems that contributed to my tuning issues. I am hoping that will all be resolved in the next few weeks. If you have a choice, go with the SP like AKS has. Everyone I know that is running one is making great power
