Default Intake......

Ok...can i remove the entire TPI as a unit to replace the intake gaskets...or do I have to dismantle it??? I will probrably port the plenum while off.....but do not want to mess with the injectors if at all possible......

Starting tonight........need sugestions quickly!

as I understand it, you have to take it all apart.

there is one other thing. when you do the repair, the torx bolts that hold the runners to the plenum are a pain. part of the cause for the leaks is that you cannot get into it and retorque them later. you will want to replace them with a regular 6 sided nut. I would splurge and get the grade-8 nuts....

I realize what you as saying.......but can you get to the STD bolts easier than the Torx....wont the same things still be in the way??

You have to take apart the TPI in sections.

First the plenum, then the ruuners. Lastly the lower intake.

You can't get to the lower intake bolts while the runners are still on.
