Left the interior lights on in the convertible today. When I went to put her in the garage I had to jump start. Started fine with the jump but where the digital volt guage says the amount (number) of voltage SYS would come on then off. Admittedly I haven't checked the manual, figured I ask here, anyone know what that means?
You're probably alright. After letting your battery die the computer is sensing that. Just keep an eye on it. I would say after either trickle charging it overnight or driving around for an hour or so it should be back to normal.
Rex,
The "SYS" indication means SYSTEM ERROR. The Central Control Module (CCM) monitors several systems, including your Electronic Control Module (ECM), and it will flash "SYS" 3 times every 15 seconds while a current code fault is present. Since your battery was drained by your inside lights being left on, if you pulled the fault code, I'll bet you would find an ECM fault code 53 (System Voltage Fault). In other words, give your battery a full charge, and that will probably solve your dilemma.
