1. My underhood lights were not working and i found the problem. both connectors were unplugged. i worry that was done on purpose because of a wiring issue. is there any way this is just a fluke and they may have "both" come unplugged. i did plug them in for a bit and they worked fine but then i dawned on me that maybe it was unpluggged for a reason.
2. my e. brake light doesnt work when the brake is engaged but lights up upon start. thus i found it too was unplugged, which furthers my worries on a wire issue. if not where is the female plug located?
1. Many owners, myself included, unplug those lights to keep the battery from draining when the hood is raised for extended periods. Some install manual switches.
2. The copper armature inside the ebrake housing could have been bent making continuous contact and the PO unpluged it to turn off that light. (guessing)
The female connector should be obvious once the seat and ebrake cover are removed. If not then you'll have to keep tracing backwards until you find it.
