My car has been running rough and pinging lately(no codes were set) so I hooked a friends scanner up and everything checked out ok except the EGR and it's running rich. When at idle the EGR reads 0%, as soon as I hit the gas (barely tapping it) it goes to 100% is that right? Also checked the fuel presure, at idle 36, at WOT 42, and after sitting for more than an hour 32.

Re: EGR? (snydcat)
That's about how the EGR reads on my 89. Usually 0 or 100%, rarely I catch a quick something in between.
Don't know what your ping could be, maybe timing off? Have you checked the plugs, I mean for condition. I wonder if it just "thinks" it's running rich, like a bad O2 sensor?
Fuel pressure would be a little low for my 89, it seems to run around 39-40 at idle and more like 48 with the vacuum plugged. Leakdown sounds OK.
Yep, it will usually read 0 or 100%. Normally it won't turn on until you're crusing at a stead speed (according to my logs). I wouldn't be worried about it (unless it gets stuck open at 100% for long amounts of time).

It's definetly running rich, I can change the plugs and drive around the block pull'em and their black already(not burning any oil). The timing is right(checked today) also changed the the dist. cap & rotor today . I replaced the 02 sensor, MAF sensor, coil, ignition module and IAC about 6 months ago, something is defenitely not right, I just can't figure it out!

I can be going 2mph or 60mph and it stays at 100% (as soon as I touch the gas).

I can be going 2mph or 60mph and it stays at 100% or over(as soon as I touch the gas), at one point on the highway doing 75mph it was reading 135%.
