Default Headlight question

Is there a way to get the headlights to stay in the up position but have
the headlight switch turn them on/off? Thanks!

You could unplug the motors and use the ***** to crank them up manually...but if the gears inside are stripped, you're SOL.

gears aren't stripped, I'm able to get the lights up and down with the switch but I am pretty sure I have an electrical drain from the motors,so I want to be able to leave the lights up but use the switch...possible?

Yes
As stated unplug motors roll lights up manualy use headlight switch to turn lights on & off. They will stay in up position untill your roll them back down or reconnect motor.

I rolled up the lights, disconnected the electrical connector that has 4 wires, if I disconnect it then the motors don't work but neither does the switch; is there another connector for JUST the motors, not the 4 wire one right under the headlights? Thanks!

You have to disable the H/L module in the LF wheel well. It controls only the motors so the lights will still work. Why are you doing this??

Before you disconnect the motors, why not test them for what you suspect is a drain?

Read JFB's post on this thread (Last post):

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...ery-drain.html

Connect your VOM up as described and take a read. Then disconnect your headlights and take another read to see if it's actually as you suspect. If not, keep on going, pulling fuses until you find the culprit.

am trying to pinpoint the cause of a slow battery drain, and I suspect one or both of the headlight motors at this point. If I can isolate and disconnect the motor circuit it will help me achieve that goal.

Do both motors run off the same circuit/connector?

Thanks!

Like I said, find the module and disconnect the wires (pull the plug in other words). But why not do a simple current draw test?
