It took tony's corvette shop in gaithersburg MD almost 9 months to basically replace my L98 heads and 700R4 and in the process, they broke a bunch of other stuff.
This irritates me to no end. My driver door won't stay open anymore and will swing back on my leg every time I open it. I have to hold it open with my left hand just to get out.
My passenger door behaves normally and will stay open to allow a comfortable exit.
What did they do to the door? They weren't supposed to mess with the door in any way. Is there something I can do to get it to behave like it did for 23 years before they screwed it up?

Not going back there any more no matter what.
i believe any shop will break half as much as they fix, some just beat on your car, I have seen it even when i am there, like when they put my rear tint on the fool climb into the back hatch and sat on my gas filler door, how about the time the mechanic are holding sharp tools and opens you hood procceeding to scratch your paint, i could go on it is just a fact of life unlessyou are going with a true craftaman and get ]charged major bucks this will happen.
my hinge is loose too, i looked at it and there was a wreck in that area, repairs but still loose and the stupid door hits my leg too, time to see the answers here....
My car's door was perfect until I got the car back from the shop. I'm absolutely certain they are responsible for anything that develops while they have the car.
They could have at least fixed it and charged me as opposed to just ignoring it...
How is this spring replaced? Does the door have to come off or can it be "cajoled" into place?
