Nope. The AIR pump is belt driven. It is on the drivers side above the Power steering pump, on the very top. It is quite large. :cheers:
:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: Not on mine it's not. But it's definitely not belt driven. All that the belt drives is the damper, the power steering, the alt, and the A/C. (and the tensioner). No air pump there on mine!
I'm with you BadAzzV8. The motor under the headlight is a vacuum pump or air pump.
The air pump (hair dryer) on an LT1 is under the driver's headlamp and is electric not belt driven, saves load on the motor and I believe it pumps air to the catalytic converter for emissions. :cheers:
