Default single plane question - victor e

Will this intake (29135) work with any of the edelbrock made elbow? The ultra low 3847 elbow looks like it may work but cause probelms with the thermostat housing, ive searched but cant find an straight answer. Thanks

Yes it will not clear the thermostat housing. My Eldelbrock elbow (second lowest) will just barely clear my Accel intake with a thermostat outlet which is about an inch taller (5.75") then your Victor E (4.58"). It might clear with a blanking plate over the thermostat location however.

I dont know about the lowest elbow but i measured about 2" rise to clear the thermostat. I had an elbow made with 3" rise and I need a 4" cowl hood to clear it all (leaves 1" clearance so 3" hood may clear) and this is on a camaro.

With a smaller elbow i still think its as tall as a Stealth ram and will need a cowl hood on a Vette, but could fit the fbody

Another option is to get a T-stat block off plate and use the two threaded holes in the manifold to plumb in a remote thermostat housing like LT1's have. Weiand makes the housing i believe.

Or have the elbow come in from one of the sides like Anethes has done. Like a 5.0 mustang setup, may give another way to get around the T-stat
