Default 90 engine cutting out problem...

a friend of mine has been chasing a cutting out problem on his 90. after driving for a short while it will just cut out, and after it has a chance to cool down it would start back up and start the whole cycle over again. he's replace the fuel pump, fuel relay, totally rebuilt the distributor. tonight it did it again. after checking for fuel (pleanty) and spark (good) i put my multi meter across a disconnected injector plug and as soon as i did that it would almost start. as soon as i took the meter off nothing. cranks great just won't even give a hint of trying to start unless i have the multi meter on it. the only good thing is now even after cooling down it won't start. we're thinking a pcm problem either with a ground wire or a bad pcm. any suggestions?

did you ohm check each injector. I bet you have a shorted injector or maybe a few. They should read 16ohms,,

If its not the injectors try the ICM , these tend to have the same symtoms that your describing. They work when cold , but when they heat up they stop working, then they repeat this cycle until one day they just stop working all together...WW
