Default HotCam Advance Timing

Should the LT4 HotCam be installed with any advance (mechanical) or installed straight like the stock cam for an LT4? A friend/mechanic is going to help me install it and asked, so I thought I'd run it by the forum first.

Also does anyone have the grind specs for the LT4 HotCam?

Thanks

I just installed mine straight in line with the old cam.

The specs are 218/228 .525/.525 112

I wouldn't put any mechanical advance or retard on a LTx based motor - at least on a 95+ opti style. The timing reference for the opti-spark is taken off of the dowel pin - if you advance or retard this then you are also advancing and retarding you timing, as well as changing your injector phasing.
