Default PCV question... (85 TPI)

I have an 85, and there is no PCV hose attached to the throttle body. My car does not like to idle when the engine temp. comes into normal operating range, and I believe no PCV to TB is a big reason. My question is what exactly does the PCV system consist of and where do all the hoses go? Does anyone have a diagram or pics for visual reference? My FSM is on the way but I would like to get the ball rolling on this right now while I have the spare time. Thanks.

I don't have an 85 in the shop right now, but I think L98s are all basically the same. The PCV is in the front of the driver's side valve cover. A rubber hose goes to a metal pipe that goes along the inside of the valve cover to a short rubber hose into the manifold.

CCV from passenger side valve cover to TB, PVC from valve cover to intake drivers side

So one goes to the manifold and one goes to the throttle body? What exactly is the CCV? I don't have anything coming from either valve cover so I'm thinking I should install both of them. Does the L98 need a PCV and CCV for correct idle conditions? Sorry I'm kinda lost on these subjects and my normal helpers aren't very helpful.

The line comes FROM the throttle body; not to it.
That is the air supply for the PCV system which exits through the valve in the drv side cover to the imtake.

CCV = Crank Case Ventilation Yes you need to have a PVC on a L98
There should be a fitting on each valve cover with lines running from them. sounds like someone installed different covers a photo would help us tell for sure.

Thanks for the help rodj and floridamale. Yes the PO installed different valve covers and failed to reinstall these lines. There is also a bunch of other screwed up things under the hood, like no A/C and hacked up accessory brackets. I'll get some pics later today. Guess I will need to buy some valves and hoses.
