Default LS1 intake on L98 engine

I finally figured out how to mount an LS1 intake on the L98.

Check it out

Not sure how to close the hood yet.

My only reservation is the cotton gasket. I think a polymer with a metal core would have been the way to go.

Is that an NHRA motor? I see you have the straps to limit how far engine parts can fly when things go wrong.

Hey you did it too! I have ran this setup for about a year and wow! I confess i did a little hood clearencing though (minor). but it was worth it, cause of the colder intake charge, sorry no dyno #s but sotp says it was an easy 95-97.6 hp. cats out of the bag now!!

With those two sets of runners, it will really be a "torque monster".

Well that's if your relying solely on dry flow numbers. With the reversion frequency the runners they will partially cancel each other out because of the early pre-injection point on the LS intake. Effective runner length can only be determined by Dart wet flow machines.

This intake requires an LT5 PCM to run all 16 injectors so that needs to be factored in as well.

Yea - can't wait to get her tunned and on the track! No really I am putting a LS1 into a first gen Camaro and had the LS intake in hand while I walked by my vette with the hood opened and could not resist.
