Starter problem
I have 94 vette with the 350 LT1 in it . The starter went bad and i got a new one from NAPA and it does not work. The old one goes out farther in to the flywheel. The new ones seems to come up short.. It seems to hit the flywheel and will not go any farther to engage. They ordered a new one and it is the same. Is there a special starter for this car? Do i need to shime it down. We measureed the distance of the old one and it is the same height. Any help would be nice.
