CCM? ECM? causing intermittant security light
I have a 1992 Vert and have intermittant starting problems. Most of the time it starts fine. Occasionally it will not start and the security light is on. It cranks fine but when it will not start it seems like the fuel pump is shut off. If I turn the key on and off a few times I can get the security light to go off and it will start. Or if I leave the car for 10 minutes and come back when the security light is off it will start. Its very annoying because it is intermittant and I just don't know when it will happen. I installed a VATS bypass and it works fine. I have the correct resistance. Its not the VATS or the wrong resistor. The car starts and runs great most of the time. On occasion it will not start and the security light is on, and I am fairly sure its not allowing the fuel pump to go on. I am thinking its either the CCM or ECM or bad connections. What do you think?
