85-87 AC compressor hose assy???

Anyone know where I can purchase a new A/C compressor hose assembly for an 86 Vette? I have checked most of the popular Corvette parts houses and no one seems to have any. Some say that they are back ordered, but I have already had three orders cancelled due to unavailability.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Yes, thanks, but they don't have any and are not sure if they can get any more. I have a standing order with them but don't know if or when I might get it. I'm still looking for now....

whats wrong with yours? If the fittings are fine take them to a hose mart or similiar place and have new hoses crimped on them.

Mine has a bulging bubble in it. While I don't think that it leaks right now, I dont want to complete my A/C system rebuild and add new R12 with the current weakened hose.

Your recommendation of rebuilding the hose is a great one.

What hose mart would you suggest that I use?

If your problem is the rubber hose itself or the hose to metal connection leaking you don't need to purchase this whole, difficult to find, expensive assembly. Simply look in the yellow pages and find a hydraulic hose shop. They can replace the hoses on your assembly for a fraction of the cost and have it for you within the day.

If you can't find a hydrualic hose shop, most any auto a/c shop are set up to do this.
