A Deal on Dave Mclellan's Book
There's a guy in Vermont selling new, autographed copies of Dave Mclellan's hardcover book "Corvette from the Inside" on ebay for $20 which includes shipping. He got them from a defunct Corvette museum and he says he has more than 10 copies for sale.
Like most of us, I've been burned on ebay a time or two when I bought something supposedly "Brand New," but in this case, the guy wasn't lying -- at least not about the one he sent to me. It's new and came very well packed.
The big book sellers offer un-autographed copes of this book for $39.95 plus shipping so the price is very attractive. Its got lots of technical and design info on the C4 including the ZR-1.
Go to ebay, type books for the category and type in the title. (You've got to have a PayPal account to do the deal.)

Wow. My brother got me this book for xmas last year and its a GREAT read. Lots of interesting stuff about the Corvette's lifetime that only an insider would know. Looks like a great deal, especially autographed.

I got a copy of Dave's book back in 2002 at an event in Monterey CA. My book is also autographed by Dave and I stood right in front of him while he signed it. I got a chance to talk with him for a good 20 minutes afterward. He loves to talk about the C4 and is very proud of what the car is and what it represents to the Corvette community.
At the same time, I also got an autographed copy of Jerry Burton's book Zora Arkus-Duntov The Legend Behind Corvette. This is a great biography of Zora and covers the adventures of him as a young man in Paris and how he came to meet and marry Elfi, racing for Porsche, and his escape from the ***** to how he came to the US and eventually working for Chevrolet. This is a really great read

I believe the same guy in Vermont is offering Burton's book. And I think he has a special package with both books.

I bought the McLellan book and the Burton book from the guy in Vermont, both new condition and he ships right away. I beleive the price was around $38 for both a year ago. He's a good guy on flea-bay, no scammer.
