Does anyone have the brake bleeding sequence for 87 vette. I have replace the abs pump, and was wondering is the bleeding sequence is different than an non abs vette. Thanks
Otherwise you could potentially pull air or contaminants back into the system while bleeding.
That's the sequence I always used, but in the FSM sec 5 page 7 they want you to do it this way:
left rear
right rear
left front
right front
don't know why and as I said have always done it like jimg, but it is different in the book? I just done mine and I noticed the difference when I looked it up, so I did it there way and ended up with a nice firm pedal.

Well I'm reading right out of my 86 FSM and the sequence is different, unfortunetly I don't have a scanner so can't prove it, but maybe we can get someone with an 87 FSM to look it up and just verify the sequence, evidently it changes from year to year.
In the 1987 FSM page 5-7 says "Bleed the brakes in the following sequence: right front, right rear, left rear, and left front." I guess about the only thing consistent is that the left front is last.
