Anyone know if there is a rebuild kit you could purchase to repair a fried alternator. I remember someone sold a kit of some kind the had super heavy parts but I can't seem to remember who it was. Thanks!

That pic can't be in NJ this year unless you are in the North-West section! And even then only 1 day!
You didn't say the year, the wheels on your can look to be 88 or 89, but can't quite tell may be 90.
I guess you have the CS-130 alternator. There is a guy in Michigan selling the "Iceburg" kit, but think you need special tools to get a CS-130 apart, maybe not. But he sells a brand new one for about $100.00. If I guessed all this right let me know and I'll try and find the link.
If you are around north central NJ I can give you the name of the guy that rebuilt my alternator this summer. Also have a buddy up near Rockaway that found a good shop to rebuild the alternator in the boat I gave to his nephew-in-law.
I too had the dread C-130. I had heard that the Iceburg kit was a good alternative. Mine only lasted about a month  Perhaps I did not put it together well.
Anyway, I bought a wonderful replacement from PowerMaster, it has been in for a year now. No more alternator worries :yesnod: http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/
