Also if the car is spinning on takeoff, roll into the throttle instead of stomping it to the floor.

In my opinion, some street friendly BFG drag radials coupled with a low cost 2500 rpm 12" converter will get you what you want.

Do not hot lap your car.... after each pass, let it cool well.... bring it up to that line as cool as you possible.

You'll also get a nice boost when the fall/winter air rolls around.... your motor will make another 10-20 HP in October vs early August.

As a note, even stock motors typically like another 1 or 2 degrees of advance..... do a quick adjustment at the track and follow your trap speeds.

The track is addicting for many of us..... once you get to a goal, you set yourself a new goal and keep going.....at least thats what I have done in the past. I think half the fun of racing is the satisifaction of hitting those new milestones.....

good luck !

Watch the third amber and take off as soon as you see it light up. Won't help with your et but may let you go a few rounds. Have fun.

Learn to drive the car and have fun while doing it, that's the most important part. You can get the car, to make all the HP and TQ you want it to, but if it don't hook, it's a waste of time. And 3.07 should help the 60 ft. I've got an 1.65 60ft with a street Dunlop and a Sumito tire.
