Metric or Standard
I have on order a set of head gaskets now I need to know if the head bolts are metric or not as I will be replacing them.
I will be doing this job myself as I have the time but no job thanks to the recession oh also very little money to spend. Good thing the other half still has an income.
The car is a 1993
Any help is well come.

For an LT1, a good rule to remember is: if the bolt threads into the block or heads, it is SAE. If it threads into the intake, it is metric. The intake to head bolts thread into the heads, so they are SAE, while the throttle body bolts are Metric.
The bottom end of an LT1 is all straight SBC, so it is all SAE threads.

Make sure you buy new head bolts!!!!
And use permatex thread sealer on the bolts.
