Needing help on my 1991 corvette my brakes are locking up when my car gets hot and i have replaced almost everything i have replaced....Booster, master cylinder, rotor, pads, bleeded brakes with all new fluid in lines. But i talked to a brake place and they said it cold be the ABS system?
Example...start car in morning, let it warm up 5 min... start to drive for about 3 miles works fine.....ABS kicks on (little late) then my problems start...i have to floor the car to get it to move and then the brakes feel hard as can be and then i can smell the pads just smoking?
This issue is new to me and all my friends that have corvettes? Maybe someone accross the united states can help me!
Re: Brakes on 91 vette locking? Need Help Fast! (krivera)
I would have the whole sys checked out by a specialist because there are way too many sensors to do trial and error which can cost more $ that could be spent somewhere else productive like speed gear

You have a bad brake hose. Replace all of them.
The inside of the hoses deteriorate and block the fluid from returning to relieve the pressure...hence the caliper locks and can even burn up the pad/caliper/rotor.

All of the above replys are something you want to check out. There is a little rod that goes from your brake booster to the master cylinder. It is adjustable You did say that you have replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. Has this rod been replaced also? Back it down a turn to a turn and a half. Test drive the car and see if this eliminates your problem. Good luck!

I had the same problem with my Camaro a while back. I'll put my money on the hoses :yesnod:
