96 Stereo HELP!!!!!!!
I NEED HELP! I have a 96 lt4 six speed, I want to do a aftermarket stereo, I already have the amps/speakers and subs. I just cant figure out where to start, I heard you need to rewire the whole system?? IM CONFUSED, HELP ME PLEASE :confused: :confused: O yeah and is there a company that makes a box for 12's? or am i gonna have to make that 2??

HHHAHAAHHAAA the good old days! yes i had to pull all my factory stuff out and then i re-ran a new power and a new ground and did a full custom on mine! What i would do is just leave the stock wiring (not like i did and ripp it all out) and run new wires to the mids and tweets and subs and amp..etc! for the deck i just tapped into the factory harness. Mine works well and has never game me power problems!

Yep
Rewire everything. Run power from battery to amps, new wires from amps to subs and speakers, head unit to amps and I don't think you can keep your head unit unless there is some adaptor to go from Bose to aftermarket stuff. Bose is weird.
