If you remove the top of the dash, you will locate it pronto over on the right side of the dash behind the breadloaf.
Unfortunately, it comes out the bottom, but it's not that easy to recognize for a first timer.
If you remove the plastic piece over the passenger's footwell. you look up, and it will be there with the connectors pointing down. There are a couple bolt/screws holding it in to a plastic box. You remove the connectors, then the two bolts, then slide it through all the other wiring, vacuum tubes and plastic stuff and it comes out in your hand.
