Default '92 Service Engine Soon Codes

I have two codes that came up on my '92. They are 16 & 64. What should I do first to make sure these codes are fixed properly? I purchased the plugs, wires, & distibuter kit but do not know if I need these done or not. I was also told to put in fuel injector cleaner to possibly fix the 64 code, but am not sure if I should do that or not. I am new to owning a Vette & want to make sure that it is in tip top shape as much as possible.

Code 16 is low resolution pulse (distributor). The ECM is not detecting the 4X pulse from distributor. Check wiring connections, especially the pigtail connector from the optispark to main wiring harness. This is the black/red wire that goes to terminal "A" on the pigtail connector.

On the 1992-93 ECM, this is wire C5 (green connector). 1994-95 ecm, this is wire B2 (black connector). If wiring checks out, you'll have to replace the optical sensor module in the distributor (the dreaded Optispark Blues).

Code 64- Right bank O2 sensor (1992-93). Lean exhaust indicated. Check wiring and connections before replacing sensor. Oil and grime or a loose connector can throw a false code.
