Default Motor Mount - Heat Shields

When I pulled my engine I tore the heck out of the motor mount heat shields. I haven't been able to find them at the dealer, Summit, Eckler's or Mid-America.

Anyone know where I might find them? Or, are they necessary in the first place?

Thank you!

Vince is sending me the material, but how did you guys staple that stuff together? I don't think my paper stapler is going to do that.

I was thinking that I might just use a 6/32 machine screw, some washers and a couple of nuts.

A regular office stapler works OK for the lower "hem", but I had to use a heavy-duty staple gun to put it together (where it's folded over like a wrapped present). I just stapled into a 2x4, then pried it away from the board and pounded the ends of the staples over.

You'll need a heavy duty stapler. Home Depot sells one that works like an office stapler that uses J21 staples 3/8"

I'll be using the leftover material to cover the clutch line and reservoir.

I wish I'd taken a class in origami before I tried making this thing. :smily:
