Default UJ Replacement without removing C Beam

I've just finished the last part of a 'How To' article about replacing the prop shaft UJ's, WITHOUT removing the C beam and including, with his permission, member scorp508's excellent article on the halfshaft UJ's, which used to be in the Tech tips that are now disabled.

I got all of the information here on the forum, after much research and I think it's extremely useful. It potentially saves 2-4 hours of labour and means the C beam stays aligned, with no chance of it not being done up tight enough, as well as avoiding the hassles of wrangling it out and back.

I really wish someone would fix the Tech tips, they are such a valuable part of the Corvette Forum.

you are not a true C4 owner until you have struggled with the C beam R/R
Along with change spark plugs and remove tail lights

Hey Rod, thanks again for all your help on this one.

Ok, so far I have paid people to do the plugs, but another mate gave me the tip to get a plug socket with flats on the top that a spanner fits, he reckons that makes the rear plugs much easier, putting a spanner on the plug socket instead of an extension sticking straight out.

Yep those tail lights are another PITA, but worse than that was fixing the rear bumper which after the repaint was put on with the corners way out of alignement. That took me all afternoon, using a jack, a flat timber stick and piece from a rubber thong - and of course I had to remove the two tail lights on that side.
