Default Need advice about hyperchip install

I have a 1984 stock 350 crossfire with k&n filter. Should I install the streetrunner chip with power coil kit or thermomaster chip, power stat, cooling fan kit & power coil kit? I have very little experience with mixing & matching power chips, etc. This is about all I want to do for performance on my car. I look forward to your help.

I installed a 160 deg thermostat along with the thermomaster chip. My car slowed down by almost a tenth in the 1/4. I was able to return the chip. I DID. I found that 160 was too cool for everyday use. I have a 180 stat, now. There is no need to pay $10.00 or more for a thermostat. Unless you NEED a coil, a HP coil will give you ZERO gains in performance. Don't trust the seat of your pants. It likes it every time you spend money on a "performance" item, AND it has an invisable connection to your ego. Trust the quarter mile slips. That's MY $0.02 worth, and worth all you paid for it.

I didn't feel any gains from the HT chip. They only add a little more fuel to an allready rich running motor. The good thing is they bring the fans on sooner. That's about it. I would say save your money for something else :( .

The time slip is a great "dyno" but you must correct for temp & baro to compare runs from week to week or even day to day.
