rough idle/ running rich on a cold start
I have a 1986 Corvette and when I first start it idles rough and I think I can smell fuel like its running rich until the engine temp reaches about 110 and then smooths out. Is this the cold start injector or the temp. sensor? Any help please.

Are there any codes present? Specifically Code 14 or 15 (Coolant temp sensor low or high). If not then unbolt the cold start injector and turn the ignition to on to pressurize the fuel rail. If the CSI leaks then you found the problem.

I don't think so. I have never just pulled the cold start injector on my 86', but from what I remember of my intake manifold replacement, I think the runners and plenum can stay on. It would be "crowded" in there with everything in place, but it may be possible.

it comes out with difficulty, you might need to pull that rocker cover for some room.
be sure you get some orings before you pull the fuel line out of the fuel rail. Be sure that you depressurize the rail before pulling stuff off of it, you might get a face full of gas.
