You can use an aftermarket ****, but the threads and adapters are too small. I used a Hurst pistol grip, drilled out the threads and screwed it onto the stick. It fits my hand like a glove and is one of my favorite mods that I have done to my car. With a little work...you can go aftermarket.

I found a few shifter ***** at Ecklers and a couple other places. No one has the button that goes on top of the shifter ****. Corvette America referred me to a salvage place that deals with Corvettes. They can sell me the whole shifter...**** and button included for $350. Ouch!

many have pointed out that the switch itself can be replaced from Radio Shack for a few bucks.
You put the switch in under the shifter ****. Don't ask me more, I have the Cuisinart blender switch on the console on my '84

The aftermarket has not come to the party on this one

I bought a new one from Ecklers a couple years ago (at least I thought I did). They don't list one now?
