Tech help for gears please.....
I have a 93 with 259 gears .I want to go to 373's.How do I know which gear variation to order,which housing do I have?Is the info on my spec sheet?If not then where?

All auto cars have Dana 36.
You need a Dana 36 gear set with "thick" gears to reuse your existing 2 series carrier.

You need a Dana 36 gear set with "thick" gears to reuse your existing 2 series carrier.

You've got a 2 series D36. If it came stock with a 3.07 (I believe the RPO code was G44 & G92), you'd have the 3 series.
You can get 3.75:1 gears for either one, but they are not interchangeable. A 2 series needs a thicker ring gear than a 3 series.
The D44 only came with manual transmissions.
