i changed the cap and rotor on my 93 with an MSD unit. it has always since i bought it had a slight mis, so i thought i would do a tune-up. cap, rotor, wires and plugs. it still ahs the mis and it seems # 6 and 8 are not firing like they should. i replaced the injectors in those 2 cyl. nothing changed. im getting spark, checked the compression, its fine. all thats left is the dang dist. anybody know if this sounds like the opti spark? what inside goes bad?
Is the slight miss there just at idle or all the time/ have you checked compression on 6 & 8 ? Also did you check all the injectors w/ohm meter. The injectors on yours are pulsed/fired 4 at a time so that one being out of range can affect the other 3 in the circuit.
My bad, I reread your OP and from a guess agree with you it could be the opti seeing it happend befor and after you did your tune up. Try to get a vented opti for the next one like I did on my 93. 25000 miles later still no misses.
well i put the old injectors in andlow and behold it runs fine. crazy! i guess it healed its self, maybe christine is back as a vette now?

Injectors can stick. It's just a little spring and a ball stop in there. Perhaps messing with them knocked them loose...
