'86 Transmission woe's?
....Brother just called from out of state...He was driving home and heard sorta a "bit of a chatter" (or similar)....Now he has 1st gear and reverse (automatic 120,00)...fluid pink with no grit or burned smell....I suspected a possible transmission cable failure but, he indicates that the cable does NOT or will not pull out when detached from the throttle linkage which would indicate cable intact (...can't remember name of cable!) and appears to be adjusted correctly...i suspect "blown" governor gear....What is suspect at this point?
