Head light door will not close completely

Head light door will not close completely
Let me try posting this again. Although the passenger side light opens fine, and closes with the hood up, it only partillay closes with the hood down. What might be causing this?? I have time to fix it now!

I have a 1990 c4. The headlight doors open fine. However, when I try to close the lights, the pass. side only partially closes. The head light shuts off and I don't hear any knocking or grinding noises.
I read the headlight "sticky" but that's a description of a full assembly removal.
Any info. on what might be the issue?? Is there a limit switch not working?
